Day 2 Rocked!
Started with breakfast in camp. First time ever, (long story). Bridal Falls in Spearfish canyon to start. Into Sturgis out to Hill City. Moved Needles and Mountain Highway to Monday. Tomorrow Montana, Wyoming, Alzada, Devils Tower, Stone House. Da-Bus tomorrow evening either into Sturgis or out to Buffalo Chip. We will make that decision tomorrow.

First day of the 78th Annual Black Hill Rally complete. Camp coming together nicely. Tomorrow Sturgis, Needles Highway, Hill City. Already making this weeks concert plans, and Da-Bus Party plans. This year is going to be great!

Started this morning a little cool, then turned into the perfect day. 540 miles and at the hotel in Mitchell DS by 4:30.

Tomorrow is only a 300 mile day. We will make a stop in Wall Drug on our way to our campground in Spearfish South Dakota.
Specifically for their fresh plain donuts. Yum Yum
As we have every year on our way out to Sturgis. Tonight with dinner we had gizzards.
I come by it Honestly. One of my Fathers favorites also.
Day 1) Total success
When I tell people that I go on vacation every year to Sturgis SD, this is not what they think. When you get to go and do what you desire, what do you do? The first time I made this trip was 1983. This is an annual trip I get to take with my Father. If you where into Riding Motorcycles where would you like to ride? I really like the Black Hills of South Dakota. This was taken on The Beartooth Highway. The Road itself is the highest elevation highway in Wyoming (10,947 feet) and Montana (10,350 feet), and is the highest elevation highway in the Northern Rockies.
Decided to see how Lake Superior was doing this time of year. Took a beautiful Friday and headed up to Lake of the Clouds in the Porcupine National Forest. Picture perfect and because Winter stayed so long,
NO BLACK FLIES!!!
If you have never been up in this neck of the woods. The Black Flies will drive you to drinking.
And not the fun filled way either!
