Two Years on the Road
After almost two years of traveling around the country, I find myself back in the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market. (I must like it here.) When I left Daytona Beach in the spring of 2018, I did not realize I would be on the road for almost two years. This is but one of the interesting aspects of my life. My life does not resemble post peoples lives.
When I originally left Florida in the spring of 2018 I went to the North Woods of Wisconsin, Minocqua to be precise. This is a location I have gone to most of the summers since 2012, a true tourist area in the North woods of Wisconsin. I spent a large part of the summer focusing on Magnet Rocks online presents. It turned out to be time well spent.

In the fall of 2018 I headed out to the Great North West for what ended up to be almost a year in the Portland Oregon area. What an interesting place filled with interesting people. I was blessed to spend most of my time on a beautiful organic farm in Ridgefield WA. Between the orchard of 10 different fruit trees, the natural medicine and vegetable gardens this may be the most magical place I have ever lived. Except for the fact that the left coast is so unbelievably left, I could see myself living there.
In July 2019 I started a slow but sure move back in the direction of Florida. I spent the next 5 months hitting 15 states across the country. During this part of the journey I spend a week in Pasco WA at a Spanish weekend flea market. I spent 17 days out in the Black Hills of South Dakota during the 2019 Sturgis Black Hills Motorcycle Rally.
I spent a little over a month in Wisconsin, doing the Milwaukee Rally, Fall Color ride in Tomahawk, Beef-A-Rama in Minocqua, Shanty Days in Algoma, Labor Day weekend in Saint Germain. I have been doing most of these shows since 2013, so I had a great time meeting with new and old friends alike.
The final leg of my journey back to Florida was spending 10 days in Mansfield Indiana at the 2019 Covered Bridge Festival. This Festival started in 1957 and draws 2 million people annually. Parke County Indiana has more Covered Bridges than any other county in the US. I have done this show multiple times since the first time in 2012. I now have a permanent spot in one of the oldest buildings in the area, an original Big Blue Barn right in the middle of the Mansfield Festival Area. My neighbor in the building has been doing this show for 32 years.
I will be here in Daytona Beach at least until the rest of the country warms up, and then I will start looking farther into 2020.
